Climate Change in Pakistan

Once again the unpredictable climatic conditions is prevailed in Pakistan as a result the span of spring season has shortened further. During last two decade, it has been observed that the summer season suddenly knocks at the door within a few days after the end of the winter season which leaves us with a short spring season which is getting shorter every year. Plantation is the posible solution to this climatic condition. We all should take initiative in our own capacity to plant trees, and save the nature.

CLIMATE CHANGE ARRIVAL AT HKH

Published On: July 2016

(ATABAD LAKE: This accidental lake is one of the aftermaths of Climate Change)

In HKH Pakistan, most of the summer remains dry & it rains in winter rather than snowfall. Deforestation of cloud forests of these ranges is imposing a decline in glaciers that are the life line of the entire Indus River. Absence of forests & torrential rains that had never been a part of climate scene of these highlands have accelerated landslide incidents. Atabad Lake is an example of such disaster.
